SUBCONSCIOUS
Subconscious is a project centred around the exploration of our dreams and where our mind and body goes when we are asleep. Throughout this body of work I have used more conventional materials such as watered down paints and inks, seeing how they bleed into one another and fog the subject and shapes of the pieces. Each piece one way or another channels a documented dream or emotion taken from aspects of dreams from journals. Although it’s challenging to tell this body of work can be seen as figurative, although as it has evolved the figures get more and more distorted in a way where you can no longer make sense of them channelling the eye, much like a dream.
REFLECTIONS
These digital works are some of the pattern designs I use for my prints. The majority of the work in this series stem from the process of making new work, along with making more work out of close ups of existing pieces. I find the concept of making something new out of existing things  fascinating as its possible to create an endless pattern out of almost anything. Or even making something like a mark on a desk or a stain of paint that would be discarded by the naked eye into something extraordinary or even beautiful.
COLLAGE
Bellow you can view a collection of my collages which are very material and textually lead. I predominately use cut outs from magazines, and play around with printing from them to create a background. Layers of printed acetates and tissue paper along with PVA glue would be added to add texture. Similar to previous work they are very vibrant, although amidst the layers are other concealed objects that can be quite disturbing. Whether it be the subject of the photograph printed onto the acetate or the subject of the printed picture underneath.
LEAVING A TRACE
Leaving a trace stemmed from architectural photos taken on holiday and of places that resonate with me. The aim of the project became trying to figure out what to do with them and how I could make marks by leaving traces of the images still left behind. The prints ultimately became so distorted that you can no longer identify the original subjects. This leaves you wondering and questioning what the prints are? and how can you make sense of them?
